Deliveroo Expands Hop Service with Morrisons & Waitrose 🛒

In a world where convenience is king, Deliveroo is making strides to ensure that your grocery shopping experience is as seamless as possible. The company has recently expanded its rapid grocery delivery service, Hop, in partnership with Morrisons and Waitrose. Now, residents in Canning Town and Kentish Town can get their hands on everyday essentials and customer favourites without stepping out of their homes. Let's delve into what this means for you and why it's a game-changer in the grocery delivery landscape.

Deliveroo Hop Service

What is Deliveroo's Hop Service? 🤔

Launched in September 2021, Deliveroo's Hop service aims to compete with other rapid delivery grocery players like Getir and Gopuff. Unlike these services, Hop partners with supermarkets to act as wholesale suppliers, giving it a unique edge. The service has been growing "from strength to strength," according to Carlo Mocci, Chief Business Officer UK&I at Deliveroo.

The New Additions 📍

The new dark stores in Canning Town and Kentish Town are the latest additions to the Hop service. The Canning Town location is the eleventh site in partnership with Morrisons, while the Kentish Town store is Waitrose's third Hop site. These stores will operate from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week, ensuring that you can get your groceries whenever you need them.

What's on Offer?

The new sites will stock a variety of products, including Morrisons' award-winning 'The Best' range of wines and Waitrose's 'Duchy Organic' collection of fresh fruit and vegetables. According to recent data, the top-selling Hop grocery items across London include bananas, avocados, chicken breast fillets, free-range eggs, and easy peelers.

Why Choose Hop? 🛒

Speed and Convenience

The service promises rapid on-demand access to products. Whether you're in West Ham, Canary Wharf, or Stratford, you can have fresh groceries delivered to your doorstep in a matter of minutes.

Wide Range of Choices

Hop is now operating in approximately 70% of London boroughs, offering a wide range of products from nearly 8,000 partner grocery stores in the UK&I, including Morrisons, Co-op, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, and Whole Foods.

In-Store Pick Mode

For those who prefer to pick up their orders, Hop also offers an in-store pick mode. Asda launched this feature in April at its Express branch in Tottenham Hale, involving a dedicated picking space in the back of the store and a team of Asda colleagues assigned to prepare orders.

The expansion of Deliveroo's Hop service is a testament to the growing demand for quick and convenient grocery delivery options. With its strategic partnerships with Morrisons and Waitrose, Hop is set to redefine the way we shop for groceries, making our lives a little bit easier one delivery at a time.
